Battle Imminent?
Several days ago, a Storm Trooper was spotted in Rittenhouse Square. This evening I saw these guys. (They agreed to have their photo taken) Does anyone know what this is about? I don’t want to miss this.

Have you seen the medieval wars that take place in Clark Park on the weekend amongst 30-60 kids, teenagers, and adults battling with gigantic styrofoam swords, javelins, daggers. and battleaxes?

I was involved in a lightsaber battle once that ended on a serendipitous note. I was fighting using a salvaged weapon that I had found on a hike through the canyons. But by the battle’s end, I found myself with a completely new saber. Trying to run over a sand dune to escape my challenger, I ended up landing on top of a Sandcrawler and a lightsaber was tossed up to me - intentionally or accidentally, I don’t know. In the darkness, I saw nothing other than the elegant weapon coming up at me and reached out to catch it. I tucked it inside my robe to keep it safe. After things settled, I was walking away and a guy with a baguette went by and asked me if he could have my lightsaber. I gladly traded him, the baguette for the busted up one I had found on the hike and that I’d been my fighting with all night long, and took my shiny new one one back with me. I carried it with me for months but never did find another worthy opponent, until one transcendental misfortune. That’s a story for another day.
